Made for This Landscape

The Texas Hill Country is not just where I live — it's the reason my photography looks the way it does. The quality of light here is unlike anywhere else I've worked. There's a golden warmth to it, a softness that turns everything it touches into something cinematic. It filters through Spanish oaks and dances across fields of Indian paintbrush, and it has fundamentally shaped the way I see and capture beauty.

From my home base in Horseshoe Bay, I'm positioned at the heart of the Hill Country. Fredericksburg's wine country is an hour west. Wimberley's artist community is an hour south. Dripping Springs, the Wedding Capital of Texas, is less than ninety minutes away. This central location means I know these areas deeply — not as a visiting photographer, but as someone who has driven these winding roads hundreds of times, who has watched the seasons change across these hills year after year.

Couples are drawn to the Hill Country because it feels like an escape — a place where time slows down and the landscape itself becomes part of the celebration. My editorial approach honors that feeling. I don't just document your wedding day; I create images that capture the spirit of this extraordinary place and the love story unfolding within it.

The Region

Wine Country, Wild Flowers & Wide Open Skies

The Texas Hill Country stretches across 25,000 square miles of some of the most photogenic terrain in the American South. Gently rolling limestone hills carpeted in wildflowers give way to spring-fed rivers, ancient cypress groves, and vineyards that produce world-class wines. It's a landscape of contrasts — rugged and refined, wild and welcoming — and it provides an extraordinary canvas for wedding photography.

Venues here are as diverse as the terrain. Fredericksburg offers European-inspired estates surrounded by vineyards. Wimberley is home to creekside chapels and artist-designed properties. The Highland Lakes region brings waterfront elegance, while Dripping Springs and Boerne provide sprawling ranch venues beneath ancient oaks. No matter the style of your wedding, there is a Hill Country setting that will feel like it was made just for you.

The Advantage of a Hill Country Photographer

Hiring a photographer who lives in the Hill Country means working with someone who knows this region in every season, in every light, and at every hour of the day.

I know the best light at dozens of Hill Country venues. I know which angles capture the rolling terrain, where to find secluded spots for portraits, and how to work with the unique challenges of outdoor Texas weddings.

No Travel Stress

Based in Horseshoe Bay, I am centrally located within the Hill Country. No flights to book, no hotel logistics to manage. I arrive rested, prepared, and focused entirely on your day.
